Returns & Refunds

All refund rights under both State and Commonwealth law apply at Dig Emporium.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and failure does not amount to a major failure. If the failure is minor, we reserve our right to offer to repair only. We reserve the right to not offer a refund or a Dig Store Credit.

Please read the following carefully to ensure you are fully aware of your rights under the policy and our obligations to you.

When you change your mind about an item

At Dig Emporium you have 7 days to return your item for a full refund or exchange, as long as it is returned in a saleable condition with a Dig Emporium receipt as proof of purchase. 

For the item to be considered as in a saleable condition, it must be unused, undamaged, unmarked and in its original packaging (if it was purchased in packaging), including any instruction manuals and all accessories.

Any refund will be provided using your original payment method. 

Some exemptions apply;

  • As part of important steps we take to maintain the plant health and biosecurity of our stores, change of mind return is not available for any Plants.
  • In an instance where the product was delivered to you, you will not be entitled to refund for any delivery service paid due to your change of mind. If you require the item collected, a minimum collection fee will apply. 
  • In an instance where you have purchased any combination of pots and plants and potted them together or had them potted by our team, these cannot be returned due to your change of mind.
  • Items purchased on Clearance, Final Sale or discounted by 30% or more cannot be returned due to your change of mind.  

If you cannot provide a Dig Emporium receipt as proof of purchase, we reserve the right to refuse your request entirely, or may offer only exchange or Dig Store Credit. 

Requests to return or exchange items beyond 7 days from the date of purchase will be politely declined. 

When the item is not of acceptable quality or fit for it’s advertised purpose

Dig Emporium will accept returns and provide you with a Dig Store Credit, refund (refund will be provided using original payment method) or repair where:

  • The item is faulty or is not of acceptable quality, or
  • The item is not fit for its intended purpose, or
  • The product does not match the sample or our description; and

You must present a Dig Emporium receipt or bank statement for proof of purchase.

We reserve the right to assess the condition and age of returned goods prior to providing an exchange, Dig Store Credit, refund, or repair. This may result in an exchange, Dig Store Credit, refund, or repair being refused.

Dig Emporium may elect to return the product to the manufacturer’s repair agent to determine the nature of the problem. 

We reserve the right not to offer an exchange, Dig Store Credit, refund, or repair where the item fault is a result of misuse or neglect.

Dig Gift Cards & Dig Store Credit

Dig Gift Cards cannot be returned if you change your mind. They also will not be exchanged for another denomination or tender such as cash. 

Dig Emporium may accept product returns within our Returns & Refunds policy and may provide you with Dig Store Credit in the form of a Dig Gift Card.

Please note that Dig Emporium is not responsible for and is unable to replace gift cards which are lost or stolen.
